History of the Preseron-Ghana
Preseron is a non profit organization with Head Office in Accra, Ghana. The main objective is to draw up programs and activities that will reduce the plastic waste pollution problem in the country. The final agreed design is expected to be the best option to the existing means of plastic waste disposal.
The Organization began in November 1999 with P.N. Demasio and M.K. Affram and a great idea. These two nobles developed this idea slowly, at first, while holding full-time jobs as Contingency Planning Specialists and Senior Lecturers/Instructors in the Public Service.
Until December 2003 when the organisition received its Cerificate of Incorporation and Certificate to Commence Business, the Preseron had been mainly operating as an information gathering and research entity. On the 12th of July 2004, the organizaton received the Certifcate of Registration from the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) to operate as a full time NGO in the AMA area of jurisdiction. Thereafter, having satisified the Ghana Government with our aims and objectives of rendering selfless social services to humanity and mankind, the Preseron received a Certificate of Recognition from the Department of Social Welfare. The way forward is to associate with other organizations such as GAPVOD and the EPA for effective information sharing and integration of ideas.

Mission Statement
The Preseron is committed to creating, providing and ensuring sustenance of a quality and cleaner environment based on designed programs and projects that will minimise plastic pollution and environmental degradation, the end result of which will be the improvement in the health, safety and the general wellbeing of members of the society, achieved through collective involvement and community participation on the foundation of the sound environmental principle: Reduce, Recycle and Reuse.
